Experience the Magic of the Day of the Dead in Oaxaca with a Night Tour

On the magical night of October 31st, immerse yourself in one of Mexico’s most emblematic traditions with our Day of the Dead tour in Oaxaca. The experience begins at the Templo de la Merced, from where we will depart to two cemeteries in communities that keep this ancestral celebration alive. At the first stop, we will witness the devotion with which families honor their loved ones, decorating their tombs with marigold flowers, candles and copal, amidst an atmosphere full of music and traditional aromas.

We continue our journey in another community in the Central Valleys, where the atmosphere becomes more intimate and reflective. Here, the villagers keep a vigil by the graves, sharing food and memories in an act of love and remembrance. The offerings, illuminated by the faint light of candles, create a poignant scene that reflects the deep respect for those who have departed, turning the cemetery into a space of spiritual connection.

At the end of the night, we will return to the starting point with our hearts full of emotion and gratitude for having been part of this unique tradition. More than a tour, this tour is an opportunity to experience the essence of the Day of the Dead in Oaxaca, a tribute to life and memory that lives on in every altar and in every shared story.
